Frequently Asked Questions

Is Tiny Squares free?

Yes. Tiny Squares is free to download. Your child can paint on Small and Medium pages and try some colour-by-number pictures and bead patterns. One optional purchase, "Unlock Everything", unlocks all pictures, bead patterns, magic paints, stickers, Big and Giant pages, and everything added later. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

Can my whole family use the purchase?

Yes. Family Sharing is turned on, so up to six family members can use "Unlock Everything" after one purchase.

I bought "Unlock Everything" but it is locked on my new iPad.

Open the purchase screen in the app (it is behind the parental gate) and tap "Restore Purchases". Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy it, or one in the same Family Sharing group. If it still does not work, please email me.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are handled by Apple, so I can't issue refunds directly. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Where are my child's paintings saved? Can I get them back?

Paintings are saved automatically, only on your iPad. There is no account and no cloud sync, so deleting the app deletes the paintings. They are included in your regular iPad backup (iCloud or computer), so restoring a backup brings them back.

Does Tiny Squares collect any data or show ads?

No. There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no accounts, and the app works fully offline. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How do I turn off the sounds?

Use the mute button in the app. The sounds stay off until you turn them on again.

Does it work on iPhone?

Tiny Squares is made for iPad, where there is room for little fingers to paint. It also works with Apple Pencil.

The app is crashing or running slowly.

Please make sure you have the latest version of Tiny Squares and some free storage on your iPad. Very large paintings (the Giant page) need a bit more power. If the problem continues, email me your iPad model, iPadOS version and a short description of what happens.

How can I suggest a picture or a feature?
